At year-end 2021, our Group was home to 165,042 people of 177 different nationalities. Inditex stands out for its gender and age diversity, majority female presence (76%), markedly flat organisational structure, far-reaching international presence and customer-centric approach.

In 2021, the number of people on indefinite contracts increased by over 7,000 people in absolute terms. As a result, 81% of our teams were on indefinite contracts. As for their working hours, 44% of our workforce worked full time, with the remaining 56% working part time. That percentage closely mirrors the reality of a sector in which many of our employees combine their jobs with other activities, most often studies. Full time equivalent (FTE) employment represented 90.9% of the total in 2021. That is an important indicator of the quality of employment at Inditex as it shows that part-time working hours are nearly as long as a FTE working day.
