Remuneration policy
Our teams are paid as a function of their professional merit, experience, dedication and responsibilities. Remuneration is adapted for the specifics of each of the 60 economies and labour markets where we operate.
Remuneration at Inditex is part fixed, part variable. Experience, individual job contribution and responsibility within the Organisation determine the fixed component. The variable component depends entirely on delivery of predefined quantifiable and measurable metrics, all of which are tied to the Company’s results.
Our remuneration policy is designed so that there can be no discrimination by reason of gender, age, religion or any other personal consideration. All men and women at Inditex receive equal pay. Analysis of the 2021 remuneration figures reveals that Inditex’s female employees earned 0.3% more than their male counterparts on average.
On average, global annual pre-tax pay amounted to €23,701 in 2021. It is important to point out that Inditex’s workforce in Spain, our home market, represents just 28% of the total, while a considerable 72% of the rest of our workforce is located in markets where their salaries, translated into euros, bring down the average.
